FEU - dlsu (W) ,up (W) ,adu (W) ,ue (L) ,admu (W) - (projected final standing 11-3. I just can't see them losing many more games. they are the best right now imo)
DLSU - feu (L) ,adu (W) ,ust (W),ue (L) ,nu (W) - (projected final standing 10-4. Hoping UST upsets them ---- we tie them at 9-5 and win the quotient)
ATENEO - ust, up, adu, feu(L) - (Projected final 10-4 Easiest schedule going forward imo. We can't tie tie them at 9-5 since we can't use quotient system bec we lost both games to them. Barring any major miracle *cough losing to up adu ust cough*)
NU - ue (L) ,up (W) ,ust (W) ,dlsu (L) - (projected 9-5 .This is where we cheer. We tie them up at 9-5 and win the quotient.) (Easier scenario for us . UST upsets them They stay at 8-6 and we are in -------highly unlikely since they are playing good Bball right now)
UST - up,admu, dlsu,nu,ue (the spoiler role . lose 2 (UP UE LOL). win 3)

Pio Garcia - Ateneo's Attack Dog. Basta Ateneo Salot!

i've read Pio Garcia's column. sad to say pero medyo half true yung sinabi nya. but i guess it would be better kung hindi na lang natin sya papansisinin. how could the philippine star allowed such column to be published. disgusting.

Guys kilala nyo yung romelishus sa pex? I think he/she is doing a great job in defending and critizing (in a good way) our team. Napaka-level headed and stick to the facts. Galing.

It's a uphill climb from now on. Tama ka dyan red_engr, Must win it all na.
Mahirap pero kaya.
Next year intact pa ang line-up with only Mammie and Gallanza leaving the team.

UE vs NU on Sunday (Aug 31), any thoughts?
Toxic na ren ang FEU they beat the defending champ!

I believe UE can win this one if Pumaren can play his cards right.
Mammie can neutralize Aroga on the defensive side. And Arafat plays better than Betayene IMHO.
I'll rather choose RR De Leon to guard Rosario.
NU plays better pag 2 guard ang set-up, and I think kaya to imatch ng UE.
I'll take Jumao-as or Palma to guard Alolino.
And to match the firepower of NU, sana eto ang gawing combination ni Coach:
1st five - Sumang, Juma-oas, Gallanza, Olayon/Varilla, Mammie
Pero lahat yan can score.
Or para hindi kapusin si Sumang sa 4th, coach can slide Sumang to 2-guard and make Alberto or Juma-oas as the primary guard.
Please Coach!!
Ilang beses na binangko si Gallanza twing naghahabol tayo sa 4th at karamihan dun we only lost by 2points!!!!

CHARLES Mammie had 22 points and 10 rebounds to pace University of the East to an important 64-55 win
over National University on Sunday in the UAAP Season 77 men’s basketball tournament at the Smart-Araneta
Coliseum. The Red Warriors scored their sixth win in 11 outings and kept their Final Four hopes alive as they
moved to within one game of the fourth-running Bulldogs (7-4). UE won without Roi Sumang, who didn’t play
due to a disciplinary action by the team. “We want to stay alive,” said UE coach Derrick Pumaren. “This game
is every important for us. We were fighting for our lives. The boys really played well.” The Bulldogs lipped
behind second-running La Salle and Ateneo, who won in their games this weekend and hold 8-3 win-loss cards.
Mammie had 14 points in the second half to lift the Red Warriors after a low-scoring first half that saw them
lead, 19-15, at the turn. The Red Warriors began the third quarter with a 7-2 start to pull ahead, 26-17.
Back-to-back baskets by Mammie gave UE a 33-23 advantage. NU was able to cut the deficit, 40-41, but UE
answered with a 16-6 run to clinch the victory for the Red Warriors. Gelo Alolino and Troy Rosario had 13 and
12 points each for the Bulldogs.
The scores: UE (64) – Mammie 22, Varilla 8, Javier 8, Jumao-as 8, Galanza 5, Alberto 4, De Leon 3, Guiang 2,
Olayon 2, Charcos 2, Arafat 0, Palma 0.
NU (55) – Alolino 13, Rosario 12, Javelona 9, Khobuntin 6, Neypes 5, Betayene 5, Aroga 3, Diputado 2, Alejandro 0,
Celda 0, Perez 0. Quarterscores: 8-11; 19-15; 37-29; 64-55. Follow the writer on Twitter: @reubensports
