What's with Roi Sumang lately?Is he playing injured?Nawala yung aggressiveness nya. Nawala na yung mga daredevil drives nya. Puro jumpshots!

Kudos to Noble! Nagka-role reversal sila ni Sumang ngayon. Nung 1st round, si Noble ang tira ng tira sa labas, si Sumang ang drive ng drive. Ngayong 2nd round, si Noble ang drive ng drive(kahit slowmo) si Sumang naman ang jumpshot ng jumpshot.


Ang dami nating mga tirang libre na aindi pa pumasok! Maramingo turnovers! Ano ba nangyayari sa team?

PS: Nakakahiya kanina, hindi pa tumutunog ang final buzzer nagsi-alisan na yung mga nasa Upper A. Pag kanta ng Warriors ng UE Hymn wala na halos tao sa Upper A Gallery! Nakakahiya! Buti pa yung mga nasa Upper B tinapos yung hymn natin!

UAAP: Perkins for real as La Salle edges UE in OT

FRESHMAN Jason Perkins played the game of his life on Wednesday after leading the De La Salle University Green Archers to a five-game winning streak in the second round of UAAP Season 76 men’s basketball at the Araneta Coliseum.

Perkins fired 22 points and nine rebounds as the Green Archers prevailed over the University of the East (UE) Red Warriors, 75-65, to tie the Far Eastern University Tamaraws at the second spot with an identical 8-4 slate.

“We just have to remember that we need to tally more wins,” said Perkins, who handed the Green Archers the advantage at 56-55 with only 13 seconds remaining after hitting a jumper.

“We just need to be consistent in our remaining games.”

Jeron Teng, the hero of La Salle’s win over Ateneo last Sunday, scored 17 points along with seven rebounds and four assists, while gunslinger Almond Vosotros had 16 points for the Green Archers. La Salle registered 18-of-22 shots from the foul line.

UE almost bagged the win after Norbert Torres fouled Sumang with only 4.7 seconds left but Sumang made only one of his two free throws that tied the count to 56-all. Teng muffed a three-pointer that sent the game to overtime.

Vosotros and Perkins both buried a three-pointer to spark a sizzling 10-3 run in the first three minutes of overtime period that gave La Salle a 64-59 lead and they never gave it back.

“Adjustment is the key here and I’m very proud of my boys for winning this win,” said La Salle mentor Juno Sauler. “”It’s only a matter of consistency and I’m confident we can sustain it.”

The Red Warriors suffered a 5-6 win-loss slate after absorbing their third straight loss.

The UAAP board allowed also UE to play 6’8 Charles Mammie in this game after his two-game suspension was reduced to one game.

“We were shocked to see Mammie in uniform because we have to adjust our game plan,” admitted Sauler. “We practiced two games and then all of the sudden, we will change everything and that is hard.”

Mammie collected 20 rebounds in his return from suspension and scored 11 points, while Roi Sumang and JM Noble had 17 each for the Red Warriors.
