As per Paul Zamar, Mammie completed his requirements yesterday and is eligible to play later. The other two imports might not play as of today.

Re: UAAP Season 76

wake up call and reality check. tama, better na matalo sila ng maaga for them to know na wins won't be given to them in a silver platter.

Re: UAAP Season 76
Ang linis pa naman ng record ni Sumang, 22 points without any fouls. Si Olivarez din naka-double digit. Early in the game kasi nakapag-incur na ng fouls si Mammie eh. Na-opening jitters ang team. Nakita ko naman yung lungkot sa mga mukha nila, lalo na kay Sumang after the game. Sigurado babawi yan, at NU pa naman next game nila. They have a week to make the proper adjustments.
But the UE crowd is amazing.

Re: UAAP Season 76

Zamar says loss keeps Warriors' feet on the ground
By Mei-Lin Lozada
June 30, 2013, 03:12 pm
UNIVERSITY of the East coach Boyzie Zamar was quick to remind his team the UAAP is the real thing.
Shortly after the Warriors absorbed a 78-89 loss to Far Eastern University Tamaraws in the opener of Season 76, Zamar reiterated that their pre-season championship celebration is over.
“Ito reality na ito,” he said. “I don't want to make any alibis, but this is a reminder to them (players) that this (UAAP) is the reality. Their feet should be brought back to the ground.”
The Warriors were easily tagged among the favorites for this year’s championship following their successful title campaign in the Filoil Flying V Premier Cup pre-season tournament.
At the onset, the Warriors played true to their potential and led by as much as 37-26, late in third period only to inexplicably collapse in the final quarter and allowed the Tams to take control of the game.
The Morayta-based squad pulled away from a tied 50-50 contest behind a huge 15-4 run to seal their victory.
“Not just a wake-up call but this is a warning call,” said Zamar. “Porke’t tagged as contenders na kami, we should put things behind us."
In a way, Zamar also felt the eligibility issue surrounding UE import Charles Mammie also affected the team as the UAAP board held an emergency meeting hours before the season opener to discuss if the Warriors’ big man would be allowed to play.
Mammie eventually was given the go-signal to suit up.
“Isang factor 'yun (Mammie's eligibility), but as a coach I have to prepare my team,” he said.
But Zamar assured the Warriors will bounce back in their next game on Saturday against National University in a rematch of their Filoil Flying V Premier Cup pre-season Finals.
“But anyway this is just one game,” he said. “We are one as a team, we will bounce back.”

Mammie gets all-clear; Sewa and Aroga allowed to play under threat of forfeiture
By Reuben Terrado
June 29, 2013, 01:43 pm
CHARLES Mammie of University of the East has been given the all-clear while Adamson's Ingrid Sewa and Alfred Aroga of National University will be allowed to play in the first round of the UAAP men's basketball tournament under the threat of forfeiture if they fail to submit documents pertinent to their eligibility.
Gathering for an emergency meeting hours before the start of the league's season, the board gave Mammie the green light to suit up after the school completed all the necessary documents, making him eligible to play in the Red Warriors' debut game against Far Eastern University on Saturday.
Sewa and Aroga were likewise allowed to suit up, but their respective schools were ordered to complete supporting documents until the end of the first round of the eliminations or face forfeiture of all their wins in games where the foreigners suited up.
Doubts were cast on the trio's availability for their teams just a day into the season when the league called an emergency meeting for Saturday to look into their eligibility papers. (For full story, click UAAP holds emergency meeting to tackle eligibility of Mammie, 2 others)
League secretary-treasurer Malou Isip declined to reveal what documents the board still needs from the two.
